Instructions for downloading Numerical Recipes
The software for C and Fortran is available to CTH students, faculty and affiliates. It is
available by downloading directly from Numerical recipes
For those with accounts at chalmers, we have pre-downloaded the unix
packages in a secure directory:

and physics Mac and PC owners can dowload directly from the
Numerical recipes site. However,
since the Unix files are simply C source code, they are probably
sufficient for most users.
- Go to numerical recipes "drive through(!?) lane"
- fill out the form correctly, checking which version you want
- send the form, noting the D number that is supplied and place the downloaded
file in a directory
- execute the downloaded file, noting the "S" number that is supplied
- go to the "Order Form License Keys" and fill out this form;
- (3) = Chalmers
- (4) skip
- (6) put your own or your home phone if you have no fax
- (8) check educational
- (9) check institutional purchase order and write Chalmers Site License
- (15) write your name
- send the form
- now await receipt of the password by mail; it may take some time (hours or days)
- execute the software file after you receive the password.
