The aim of the workshop is to address the description of nuclear systems that are close to the breakup threshold and whose properties are determined by a combination of many-body correlations and couplings to the continuum. Specific focus will be on experimental signatures and their interpretation. The following topics will be discussed during the workshop:
- General properties of open quantum systems
- Interface between clustering and continuum in nuclear structure and reactions
- Cluster models for nuclear structure and reactions
- Halo effective field theory
- Bound-state techniques for scattering
- Ab-initio theory for nuclear structure and reactions
