Gluons in Schoolbooks

Four Gluons - Certainly NOT!

My reactions at reading this piece of text is very much that of frustration. On one page (of which I quoted a few lines), the authors try to summarize modern particle physics in a way that seems incomprehensible if you didn´t already know the subject. Words a are introduced to describe these concepts which probably are not understood - and the words are wrong!!!

However, it is of course easy for a teacher to test that the children have memorized the names!
