are in surface science: interaction of the simple adsorbates with well-characterised metal and semiconductor surfaces under UHV condition; examination of the fundamental energy and charge transfer between substrate and the adsorbed layer as result of adsorption and during electron and photon irradiation; surface thermal and photo chemistry on catalytically active surfaces, lasers and laser micromachining; environmental problems; athmospheric and astrophotochemistry.
