Bengt Lundqvist, (BL) Staffan Ovesson (SO), Mats
Persson (MP), Behrooz Razanejad (BR), Elsebeth
Schröder (ES), ...
4) Information about the course (BL).
5) Lectures on
* The Physics of Materials
(BL);
* The Role of Materials Theory
in Materials Science:
**
From Qualitative Accounts to Quantitative Ones (BL),
**
Building Materials Atom by Atom (MP),
**
Why I like materials theory (PH),
**
Molecules and solid surfaces -- two very different examples of materials
theory applications (ES),
**
The Three Pillars of Materials Science: Experiment, Theory, and Computer
Simulations (BL??).
* The individuality of atoms in molecules and
materials, time permitting (BL).
Monday - Friday:
1) Computer exercizes: Why not get
used to the computer by some simulation projects (Ising model, Burger's
vector, ...).
Look up the booking list to see when Behrooz
is available for a brief introduction.
2) Project: The project list will
successively grow. Have a look now and then to see what the problems are
like. If you have made up your mind: Sign up on the sign-up list.

late next week. In the meantime: Read the question list and get familiar
with typical questions!
