Travel Photos from the Pink Caravan trip
through the Andes
7 weeks in April-June 2001

Thank's to all people on the buses who made this trip as great as it was!

So far I don't have pictures from the last weeks of the trip. Once I get them I might add some shots from Buenos Aires and Santiago. But maybe I have to censor the pictures from the farewell party :0)

Click on the small pictures to see the full scale photo. Then click the "back" button on your browser to come back to this page! If you want to see all my photos from the trip (450!), you'll have to come and see me in person, which you are more than welcome to do!

Why walk when you can ride?
top of page

  FOOD!!!!

The first evening, and we are still OK - washing clothes and writing in our diaries.

Not so OK anymore: 4200 meters above sea level, and no air - but I made it!

Foggy morning "view" from a ruin (after another steep climb).

All those step-up classes last year sure come in handy...
top of page

... but the views made it worth the struggle!
top of page

We arrived at Machu Piccu in a fog as thick as our disappointment...

At the tour everyone sits down whenever there's an opportunity :0)

Going into the mines the adventureous way!
