Hi Alessandro. Here are several comments and suggestions about the astrophysical dynamics course. Firstly the general concensus of the class was that the lecture material was very well chosen and very well structured. The topics were relevant and interesting and there was a great sense of continuity to the manner in which the course was delivered. Especially effective were the practical demonstrations in particulat the one with the corn flour to illustrate the importance of time scales. In fact it was the first time anybody had seen "practical" work in a theoretical astrophysics course!! The students found the lecture material challenging but in general at an appropriate level of difficulty. The lecture on magnetic fields was probably the toughest. The interactive style of the lectures was fantastic and it was very obvious that the teacher was deeply concerned with the progress of each student individually. The students found the informal atmosphere in the classes highly rewarding. The student group sessions were very useful and ensured that the days lecture material was digested. It was suggested that rather than 4 hours in a row, 2 hours before and after lunch break may be a little more productive. Finally the students found the presentation day a great way of examining. It really relieved the pressure of a formal written exam and everyone felt that they learned a great deal from hearing the other students presentations. Many thanks on behalf of the class, Rossa
