The basic reason for this page to exist is to provide information about my research. Briefly, I did my PhD at the Department of Inorganic Chemistry at Uppsala University and finished in the spring 1998. The Thesis was in the field of polymer electrolytes. My supervisors were Drs Jan Lindgren and Jorgen Tegenfeldt. After this I worked a short while for a MISTRA-project before I went to Northwestern University to do a post-doc for Profs. D. F. Shriver and M. A. Ratner. Since December 1999 I work here at Chalmers, currently as acting Lecturer.

I have worked with FTIR - spectroscopy using a Bio-Rad FTS-45 instrument, but now I mainly perform quantum mechanical calculations (ab initio). For this I use the Gaussian98, GAMESS and Titan software packages. Some results from my research can be seen in my publication list. I have also been doing vibrational spectroscopy using neutrons (TFXA) at ISIS in the UK. I have also been using the IBM SP-2 supercomputer at PDC for large QM calculations.

If you would like to ask, know more about me, discuss something or even meet me somewhere - send e-mail or check out what conferences I plan to attend next. If you're in the field of polymer electrolytes research you might be interested to check out my publication list or even my CV.

One more recent interest of mine is the publishing of quality graphics on the internet and the use of VRML for publishing chemical structures.

What do I do when I'm not working ?? The two main interests of mine are practising Iaido and Floorball. Iaido is the modern development of the sword-training the japanese samurais used to do. It is strictly non-offensive and an art with exquisite beauty when performed well. Floorball is the most intense growing sport in Sweden and the 3rd largest, a teamgame a little bit like hockey, but indoors.
